After all this floodblood sucking our land across

Lets join hands together, you and me

Finding a place for everlasting love

To flow from Bayelsa to Sokoto, from Lagos

To Maiduguri, all across our land

And let us find a common song

For ourselves, to sing across the land

Forever, for peace and unity to be

Now that our land had seen seven years of strife

Land sucked in blood and tears, in a terrible time
as this.
